Why Spectre?

Most GPS tracking platforms come with a pushy sales process and pricing to match, even when all you need is straightforward tracking. We started Spectre because we'd spent years working in this industry and kept seeing the same thing: platforms sitting on far more data than they ever did anything with, real potential for smarter features that never got built, and pricing structures that made simple tracking needlessly complicated. We wanted something that works just as well for the owner-operator, the farmer with a few vehicles, or the tradie who just wants to know their van got home safe, as it does for a fifty-vehicle fleet.

So Spectre stays simple. Every tracker gets the full platform: live tracking, trip history, geofencing, alerts, and more. The trackers differ only in what the hardware can do, like remote immobilisation, extra sensor inputs or engine data; the subscription is the same for all of them, with no plan tiers and no paid add-ons. Pay monthly or annually, whichever suits you. Cancel a monthly plan and it runs out at the end of that month, no part-month complications or 30-day notice periods. Cancel an annual plan and you keep tracking for the rest of the 365 days you already paid for. That's the whole policy.

Your tracking data stays in New Zealand. We never sell it, and your vehicle locations and trip history are never shared with anyone. On this website we use Google Analytics to understand where our visitors come from, and Meta only to measure how our ads perform. Neither ever sees your tracking data.
