Spectre Drive: Tracking Without Installing Hardware
Hardwired tracking is the right call for a vehicle you own and run every day. But not every tracking need looks like that. A contractor using their own ute. A casual driver you only need visibility on for a few weeks. Someone who just wants an accurate record for mileage claims without wiring anything into their dash.
That's what Spectre Drive is for: turning a phone into a tracker, with no hardware to buy, fit, or hand back.
How it works
Install the Spectre Drive app, and the driver's phone becomes the tracker for as long as it's running. Live location, trip history, and route playback work the same way they do with a hardwired unit, on the same map, alongside the rest of your fleet.
Built for mileage and distance, not surveillance
Spectre Drive is built around driving, not tracking someone's whole day. Trips are what get recorded, which makes it a genuinely good fit for mileage claims and distance tracking: an accurate, timestamped record of where and how far, without a driver needing to log kilometres by hand or guess at the end of the month.
On when you need it, off when you don't
No installation means no removal either. Turn tracking on for the job, the trip, or the claim period, and turn it off when it's not needed. It's the right fit for occasional use, short-term contracts, or anyone who doesn't need a permanent hardwired install.
Is it right for your fleet?
Spectre Drive suits a specific set of use cases well, contractor vehicles, mileage claims, short-term needs, rather than replacing hardwired tracking across a whole fleet. Get in touch and we'll talk through whether it's the right fit for what you're trying to solve.
